Amount of Advertising Directly Linked to Film's Crappiness

I have no proof, but I've been suspecting a connection for awhile now. My latest bit o' evidence: Bee Movie.

Purely based on this (and the virtually non-stop promotion on NBC), I'm guessing that honey did not just get funny. And the reviewers generally agree with me:



Now obviously there will "bee" exceptions (haha sorry I couldn't help it!), but I've been through this enough that, when I start feeling deluged by movie advertisements, I'm pretty sure it's nothing I want to see. Thoughts?
